Synastry Calculator

Two charts laid against each other. Synastry does not ask whether a relationship is good — it asks what actually happens when these two skies meet.

What you get

  • A bi-wheel with both charts, and a cross-aspect grid of every contact between them
  • House overlays — which of your houses their planets fall into, and the reverse
  • The orb tradition switchable, so a tight Hellenistic reading and a wide modern one can be compared
  • Both directions shown, because synastry is rarely symmetrical

How it works

Synastry compares two charts planet by planet. Your Venus to their Mars, their Saturn to your Moon — each contact describes a specific pressure or ease that exists between the two people, not inside either one of them.

The house overlay matters as much as the aspects and is more often skipped. A person whose planets fall in your seventh house feels like a partner; the same planets in your sixth feel like a colleague. Nothing about their chart has changed — only where it lands in yours.

Synastry is asymmetric by nature. One person may feel the contact as support and the other as obligation, and the chart will say so if you read both directions rather than one.
