Transit Chart Calculator
Where the planets are now, laid over where they were when you were born — which is how astrology talks about the present.
What you get
- A bi-wheel: your natal chart inside, the transiting sky outside
- Cross-aspects between transiting and natal planets, listed and drawn
- A date scrubber to step by day, month or year, and a live clock mode
- Transit scanning to find when a given contact becomes exact
- Ingresses, stations and retrograde periods flagged as they fall
How it works
A transit is simply a planet arriving at a degree that means something in your chart. Saturn crossing your Ascendant is a transit; so is the Moon crossing it, though one lasts two and a half years and the other about two hours.
That difference is the whole craft. The outer planets — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto — move slowly enough to describe a chapter. The Moon moves fast enough to describe an afternoon. Reading transits well is mostly a matter of matching the timescale of the planet to the timescale of the question.
Because the engine computes the exact moment a contact perfects rather than only showing today, you can see a transit approaching, the day it is exact, and the long tail afterwards.
